La Juguetería Mimitos

“La Juguetería Mimitos” has been a refuge of joy and imagination for the neighborhood children for a long time. However, lately something strange has been happening. At first, it was small things. Toys appearing in different places than where I had left them, lights flickering for no apparent reason, and whispers that seemed to come from the dark corners of the shop. But then there was a more unsettling incident I could no longer ignore. One night, while doing inventory, I heard laughter coming from one particular doll, Parlanchín. I walked over, but there was no one around. The ventriloquist dummy, with its glassy eyes, seemed to watch me with an intensity I had never noticed before. And then I saw it, as clear as day. It moved its mouth, forming a chilling smile! I have tried to find a logical explanation for all of this. I thought maybe I was overworked and my mind was playing tricks on me, but customers have begun to notice it too. Some children say they talk to Parlanchín and parents look at me with concern. I reported it to the police, but they don’t believe me and treated me as if I were mad. Please, I beg you, I need people who are ‘sensitive’ to these kinds of phenomena to help me find out what is happening or my business will be ruined. “La Juguetería Mimitos” is no longer the safe, welcoming place it used to be.
