La Grieta

After several weeks of strong seismic tremors in the province, a huge fissure has opened in Sierra Elvira, a natural area near the capital. A group of hikers alerted the authorities, claiming that behind the fissure there is also a small, strange cavity. Although the tremors continue and the area has been cordoned off, we need the best team of speleologists ready to go and carry out a thorough analysis of the find. Historians and archaeologists from the university are also aware of the operation, since their involvement may need to be urgent. An old popular legend says that the last Nasrid sultan of the Kingdom of Granada, Boabdil, secretly returned after his exile to look for a place where he could build his own tomb. The location of the discovery might be close to the one mentioned in the legend, or so they believe. There are endless stories told about Granada, so nothing to worry about. Just one more… surely.
