The diary of Guillermo Laguna, a mid-thirteenth century apprentice builder, came into the hands of Mr. Rombo some time ago. In it, Guillermo recounts his experience on a journey he made in 1260 along the Camino de Santiago with the intention of studying the main buildings he found there. During his pilgrimage, Guillermo was accompanied by a Templar knight, named Louis de Montes, who served as his guide and protector and with whom he formed a very good relationship. Towards the end of the journey, Guillermo and Louis were assaulted by a band of robbers. Louis, in his role as protector, confronted them and managed to defeat them, but was mortally wounded. Before he died, he confessed a secret to Guillermo: he told him that, if he wanted to know the real secret of the Camino, he should look for the original board of the Goose game that was hidden in the most important inn along the Camino. Guillermo thought his companion was delirious in his deathbed, but, out of respect for his friend's last words, he decided to investigate what truth there was in them. After a few months gathering information, Guillermo discovered that the board of the Goose game was, in reality, a symbolic and encrypted guide of the Camino de Santiago and that each square of the board was associated with a stage of the pilgrimage. However, he was not clear as to what the Templar knight meant by "the most important inn". Although he searched in the most famous inns, Guillermo was not able to located the board and ended up abandoning his search when he entered the builder's school. Now, 750 years later, Mr. Rombo has received some clues that seem to indicate that the Horn Inn is the one the Templar knight referred to, but he suspects that there are other organizations, with less honest intentions, who are also after the secret of the Camino. Your mission as seekers of The Rombo Code is to head to the Horn Inn, find the board of the Goose game and decipher the secret of the Camino in order to safeguard it and protect it from falling into the wrong hands.
