One day you came across this job offer in the newspaper: "We are looking for a team of caretakers for the Overlook hotel for the winter season. We offer very competitive salaries and complete accommodation. All applicants must be in good mental health and be aware of the psychic dangers that accompany long periods of isolation." You and your team have accepted the job, driving up to the Overlook hotel to take care of it. It seems to be a simple job, and well paid at that. You're all very happy to have complete access to a resort for several months, with no one to supervise you. It should be the perfect opportunity to relax and disconnect from everything. You're even pleased to see that there's no coverage in the mountains surrounding the area. However, from the moment you cross the threshold of the Overlook, you feel uneasy, as if you were being watched. The hotel owners seem to be nice, but at the same time they rush through explaining the cleaning and maintenance protocols, and in giving you the keys as soon as possible. It feels like they're hiding something from you and their eyes dodge yours every time you ask a question related to the hotel's past. Just as the doors close and you are left alone in the labyrinthine corridors, you wonder if perhaps it would have been a good idea to investigate the Overlook's past...
